Deep Tissue Massage in London

Some tension is not from training. It has been there so long you have stopped noticing it.

Deep Tissue session in London

Slow is the whole method

Deep tissue is not about pressing harder. It is about going slower. Tissue that has been braced for months does not let go because someone leans on it. It lets go when it is given time and warmth and a reason to trust what is happening.

That is why these sessions move at a different pace to a sports massage. Fewer areas, more time on each.

What it helps with

Necks and shoulders that live at a laptop. Lower backs that have carried something for a long time. Hips that have been sitting for years. Jaw and upper back tension that shows up as headaches.

A word about touch

Touch has been sexualised and misunderstood, and a lot of people arrive slightly braced because of it. It is worth saying plainly: this is clinical, respectful work, you stay covered, and you are in charge of the whole session. Skin to skin contact is one of the oldest ways a nervous system learns it is safe.

Questions

The things people ask first

How is it different from sports massage?

Sports massage is targeted at training load and works faster and more specifically. Deep tissue is slower and goes after long-held tension. If you are unsure, message me what is going on and I will tell you which one you actually need.

Will I ache afterwards?

Sometimes for a day, in the way you ache after a good session in the gym. Drink water, move gently, do not book it the night before something important.

Can I book 90 minutes for a full body?

Yes, and for a genuine full body I would recommend it. Sixty minutes is better spent on two or three areas done properly.
